Our Ward
The 3rd Ward is made up of 5 diverse neighborhoods, stretching from Roosevelt Rd. on the north to Garfield Blvd. on the south, and from approximately Stewart Ave. on the west to Evans Ave. on the east.
It is home to many sites of cultural and historical significance to the City of Chicago. This includes the famed Black Metropolis – Bronzeville, the Motor Row historic district, the Illinois Institute of Technology, the Chicago Urban League, the Clarke-Ford House, the Calumet-Giles-Prairie District, the Prairie Avenue District, 2nd Presbyterian Church, and much more.
In recent years, the 3rd Ward has undergone massive growth, attracting business and residential development in every neighborhood. From the building of Wintrust Arena to the redevelopment of the long-vacant Rosenwald Courts Apartments, the ward continues to expand as a hub for Chicago’s best and brightest.
