Alderman Dowell hosted the Chicago Department of Transportation, the Chicago Department of Water Management, the City Colleges of Chicago, the University of Chicago, Scitopia, and the developers of Pershing Rd. and State St. at a very well attended Town Hall meeting on June 20, 2026 at the Green Line Performing Arts Center. Thank you to all the residents who came to the meeting, and to all the presenters who showcased some of the amazing developments that will transform Garfield Blvd. and the broader Bronzeville community.

Many of these projects are still in their early stages and will require additional City and community input and approval.
